Well, I currently have an Adaptec 2940U. It works nicely; however, I've
been thinking about replacing it with a BusLogic controller. BusLogic
supports Linux, whereas Adaptec keeps everything proprietary. If you can
afford an extra $50, go for an Ultra Wide controller while you're buying a
new controller anyway; it will still support your current drives, and let
you use Wide SCSI in the future. You might want to look around at
http://www.mylex.com/prodinfo/products2.html#scsihost if you want to see
what BusLogic controllers are available.
I'd be interested in some BusLogic testimonials too, if anyone has any...
