I can no longer run netscape, I am getting the following error :-
netscape: can't load library 'libXt.so.6'
I have checked /etc/ld.so.conf this contains :-
/usr/X11R6/lib
/usr/i486-linuxaout/lib
/usr/i486-linux-libc5/lib
and have run /sbin/ldconfig as root. No Change.
The output of 'ldd netscape' produces :-
libXt.so.6 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libXt.so.6 (0x40004000)
libSM.so.6 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libSM.so.6 (0x40047000)
libICE.so.6 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libICE.so.6 (0x4004f000)
libXmu.so.6 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libXmu.so.6 (0x40063000)
libXpm.so.4 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libXpm.so.4 (0x40073000)
libXext.so.6 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libXext.so.6 (0x40080000)
libX11.so.6 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libX11.so.6 (0x4008b000)
libdl.so.1 => /lib/libdl.so.1 (0x40124000)
libc.so.5 => /lib/libc.so.5 (0x40127000)
libm.so.5 => /lib/libm.so.5 (0x401ff000)
libc.so.6 => /lib/libc.so.6 (0x40208000)
/lib/ld-linux.so.1 => /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0x00000000)
I am completely baffled. Can anybody help? I have already trawled through
variious archives, all advise checking ld.so.conf and running ldconfigas
root which I have done. I have even reinstalled the X libraries and
Netscape.
