Hey Dave: I recall that we were working on a problem with the jaz drive.
If you are still interested in helping out I thought I would update you on
the progress.

as I recall we were working on getting the modules seen by the system.

I ran the modprobe command and created the /etc/conf.modules file
and now the kernal Daemon Configuration button on the control-panel actually
lists modules.  (this in not in the redhat installation book by the way).

However even though the file /lib/modules/2.0.27/scsi/aic7xxx.o exists,
when you run

modprobe /lib/modules/2.0.27/scsi/aic7xxx.o  the module is not found

any clues.?

running modprobe -c and looking at the path statements show that

path[scsi]=/lib/modules/2.0.27/scsi


I can send you any and all configuration files.

and yes I have read both the kernald and modules howto's
