Hey Dave: I recall that we were working on a problem with the jaz drive.
If you are still interested in helping out I thought I would update you on
the progress.
as I recall we were working on getting the modules seen by the system.
I ran the modprobe command and created the /etc/conf.modules file
and now the kernal Daemon Configuration button on the control-panel actually
lists modules. (this in not in the redhat installation book by the way).
However even though the file /lib/modules/2.0.27/scsi/aic7xxx.o exists,
when you run
modprobe /lib/modules/2.0.27/scsi/aic7xxx.o the module is not found
any clues.?
running modprobe -c and looking at the path statements show that
path[scsi]=/lib/modules/2.0.27/scsi
I can send you any and all configuration files.
and yes I have read both the kernald and modules howto's
