Using Redhat 4.2 on an AMD686 200 with a Adaptec 1520 SCSI card and a older Archive 150mb tape drive I get occasional errors that lock up the tape system forcing a reboot. The console error is "Can't get free page". The SCSI card and tape support are being loaded as modules. As well as IBCS support, RAID 1, and a few others. Am I relying too much on modules? This is a production machine in a business and these tape backups are done nightly. In the past month it has happened only twice.
