I need to set up my RedHat Linux to route through my
OS/2 box running IN-Joy with IP-Masqurading. Although
I have been able to do this with OS/2, NT/95 boxes. I
am too new with RedHat Linux to be able to get it
correct.
If anyone out there is also using OS/2 and even
better In-Joy, please help me set this up. I have
contacted RedHat support, but this type of help is
not incuded with the 30 day frre e-mail support.
My current configuration files for an OS/2 box
are as follow:
to route through OS/2 box runnig IN-joy:
route -fh
arp -f
ifconfig lan0 172.22.1.1 netmask 255.255.255.0
route add default 172.22.1.3 1
route add net 172.22 172.22.1.3 1 netmask 255.255.0.0
ipgate off
to change back to using a dial up ppp connection
I use:
route -fh
arp -f
ifconfig lan0 172.22.1.1 netmask 255.255.255.0 metric 0 mtu 1500
I tried plugging in these numbers using the network
configuration menu with Xwindows but so far no
luck. I admit that I am ignorant on using linux,
can't even mount my cdrom yet but would feel
good if I could at least get on line running Linux.
thanks in advance,
