I've been using R.H. Linux 5.1 for a few days. The good folks at Redhat
Installation Support deemed this not worthy of their attention (said it
was not an installation issue, but I disagree). They said I should post
the question to this list, so here goes:

State the installation problem:
I have an ESS1868 soundcard. I know I cannot use sndconfig,
that I must manually configure it. I've done a "pnpdump >
/etc/isapnp.conf". The isapnp.conf contains settings for
ESS1868, but I'm not sure which to uncomment. Do I use LD0,
LD1, or LD2, or all three? I've looked at some other
examples and given it a few tries with isapnp /etc/isapnp.
conf, but none work. I know this about my sound card from
the Win95 config.
DMA 01 and 05
IRQ 5
0220 - 022F
0388 - 038B
0330 - 0331
