All coax is shielded, but it is not that simple. First, there are many types of
coax, most with different impedances. You need RG 58A/U, if memory serves
correctly. Other types may or may not look the same, but they certainly cannot
be relied upon to behave the same.

Next, do NOT string exposed coax from one building to another. It may be
improbable, but a lightning strike could have singularly interesting
consequences for the cable, the computers at the ends of the cable, and those at
the computers. The lingering aroma after such an event might be fried RAM or it
might be fried people. Stranger things than this have happened....
