Hmm its a long time since I used Personal Netware but I don't think it
actually is the same as real Netware in how it works. Real Netware
broadcasts a SAP type 4 advertising itself as a server. I dont think
Personal Netware does this. Also if memory serves there was a special
Novell VLM (loadable module in the DOS client) for Personal Netware
clients, you dont have this feature with ncpfs unfortunately. I don't
think you will get this going I am afraid.
You might want to talk to Caldera as Ray Noorada got the rights to
Personal Netware along with DRDOS when he left Novell, since they also
have their own version of Linux they might know if there is some way to
get the two to talk (perhaps using DOSEMU and loading VLMS in there ?)
