No, don't use that on a 4.2 system. Try to install it this way:
# rpm -Uvh --prefix=/usr/i486-linux-libc5 libc-5.4.44*
and see if that works. I don't think it will, and if not, find the
equivelant package in the Hurricane contrib directory.
