I'm trying to install ezppp-dynamic-1.0B8-1.rpm so I can connect
to the internet on my RH4.2 system. It requires QT so I first
installed qt-1.31-1.i386.rpm. But when I try to install the ezppp
package, I get this message:

requires qt=1.1

The RPM docs are a bit sparse on this subject, but I'm quite
sure this means it needs qt-1.1 or greater. (BTW - I couldn't
find a qt-1.1 rpm.) I could just use --nodeps, but I want to
know what's going on here.

Other packages I have installed have followed the dependency
rules quite nicely and always seem to know whether or not I
have what's required. Is this just a poorly designed package,
or am I missing (figuratively :) ) something?
