I installed a HFS module (http://www-sccm.stanford.edu/~hargrove/HFS/) and stuck it in my /lib/modules/2.0.33 dir (I upgraded my kernel). It seems that mount will not mount a HFS filesystem until I do an explicit modprobe on the hfs module. Sure enough, /proc/filesystems shows that the HFS fs module is not loaded until I modprobe it. I thought that kerneld would do this for me. Is there any way to make mount know about filesystem modules without having to have those modules actually loaded in? I really don't want to have to either compile in all foreign file system support into the kernel or manually load in the fs modules everytime I boot. paul P.S. I don't think the problem is particular to the HFS module but applicable to any foreign fs support stuck in a module. HFS was just the particular case where I found this problem. -- PLEASE read the Red Hat FAQ, Tips, Errata and the MAILING LIST ARCHIVES! http://www.redhat.com/RedHat-FAQ /RedHat-Errata /RedHat-Tips /mailing-lists To unsubscribe: mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe" as the Subject.
