I'm not sure that there is a native version of photoshop for Linux, but
you'll certainly be interested in the GIMP, the GNU Image Manipulation
Program. There was a three part article in Linux Journal for the past few
months explaining how to use it. I'm sure that will meet 90% of what you
expect to do with Photoshop.
Check out www.gimp.org, and I'm sure there's sufficient documentation on
their web site.
It's complicated enough that it easily gets confusing if your not a
graphics designer :) (At least for me that can't draw a stick figure)
