FINALLY, after trying for what seems like years and screwing up in every
way imaginable, I have built my first successful packet filtering
firewall.

Anybody interested in long boring details should feel free to mail me
off line, but the gist is that the dotfile generator saved my butt and
my few remaining shreds of sanity. Many thanks to the many people on
this list who helped, particularly John Hardin for holding my hand, and
to John and everybody else who worked on the dotfile package, a
wonderful tool.

The ipfwadm module for the dotfile generator can be had from:

(RHAD: If you're listening, and don't already know it, I heartily
recommend this package as a great example of a way to make Linux usable
for morons.)

Follow your dreams. You can achieve your goals. I'm living proof.
Beefcake. BEEFCAKE.
