Well, I'm just starting in the Linux world, and I hope someone can help
me with this.

I had a working kernel compiled with sound support. My ATAPI CD-ROM was
the Master Device in the secondary controller. But now I bought a new
IDE hard disk and I put it as the Master and moved the CD-ROM to the
slave position also in the secondary controller. But now I don't have
sound anymore.

What should I do? I'm using RedHat 5.0 and it recognizes the CD-ROM in
the new position. Do I have to recompile the kernel again, or there is a
simpler solution?

Thanks in advance
Luis
