gday, Have just setup RHv 5.0 on a Acer Extensia 390 notebook While the install went well I have been unable to setup PCMCIA services after reading the how-to(many times) When the notebook boots I get a msg stating that pcmcia services i82365 allready loaded which is the driver that is needed for my modem. I have downloaded the latest software pcmcia-cs.3.0.0 and tried to run config this asks for the Linux source dir. after giving a default here is where i get stuck i have tried the default and have searched myself used the actual (i think(/usr/src/linux-2.0.31/include/linux/kernald.h)) source dir but no joy it says the dir doesn't exist even after i have been there. this is as far as i have been able to go. i have edited the /etc/sysconfig/pcmcia to have the following: PCMCIA=yes PCIC=i82365 PCIC_OPTS="do_scan=0" CORE_OPTS= i insert the modem and nothing happens no beeps etc any help would be appreciated, my sysadmin skills with unix are limited barry -- PLEASE read the Red Hat FAQ, Tips, Errata and the MAILING LIST ARCHIVES! http://www.redhat.com/RedHat-FAQ /RedHat-Errata /RedHat-Tips /mailing-lists To unsubscribe: mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe" as the Subject.
