It simply talks to the name server, that is why it has the name NSlookup.
So don't worry about it! :)
I put an alias 'localhost.dunadan.com.' to 127.0.0.1 in my nameserver
file, so people that do a 'nslookup localhost' will at least get the right
IP. Yeah, this is not exactly the perfect way, but it does work... (you
should be able to simply put a localhost. entry in your DNS file, but you
would have to have a separate entry in named.boot for the localhost
'domain'.)
