I have a second disk drive I have been using for DOS partitions. I had created it using Windows95 fdisk as an extended partition and created 3 logical paritions inside of it (G,H,I). I used Partition Magic to delete the I partition and then shrunk the extended partition to create free space at the end of the drive. In trying to install RedHat 5, it does not see the second drive correctly using linux fdisk. The partition table is a follows : Device Begin Start End Blocks ID System /tmp/hdd1 2 2 459 3678885 f UNKNOWN Disk Druid does the same thing. Linux fdisk is apparently not recognizing this as an extended dos partition. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. -- Bernie Borenstein Principal Computing Specialist Boeing - Douglas Products Division 3855 Lakewood Blvd. MS D800-0033 Long Beach, Ca. 90846 Work Phone : (562) 982-2152 Home Phone : (562) 425-2597 -- Bernie Borenstein Principal Computing Specialist Boeing - Douglas Products Division 3855 Lakewood Blvd. MS D800-0033 Long Beach, Ca. 90846 Work Phone : (562) 982-2152 Home Phone : (562) 425-2597 -- PLEASE read the Red Hat FAQ, Tips, Errata and the MAILING LIST ARCHIVES! http://www.redhat.com/RedHat-FAQ /RedHat-Errata /RedHat-Tips /mailing-lists To unsubscribe: mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe" as the Subject.
