Would anyone know what the maximum number of users logged in, be for a RH
4.2 system?
One of my co-workers was discussing with me that he had read that the
performance of Linux starts to drop off significantly after about 3000 users
have logged in. I would like to know if this is true and how it compares to
other commercial UNIX's. Does anyone have any comparisons?
Would anyone know of a Web page that compares Linux with other commercial
UNIX's? There always seems to be opposition to using Linux in the work
place versus using the Commercial UNIX's and I would like to be able to
point those opposed, to a non biased Web page. It seems to me that Linux
has matured enough now that companies should take a serious look at Linux
rather than buying the expensive commercial UNIX's. I fail to understand
why companies are so hesitant
Another question came up about software development on a Linux box. If a
company develops their own software on a Linux box, would this have to be
made available (source included) to the general public?
