hi friends,
after hearing the discussion on SWAP I am puzzled because I did
not allocate any space for SWAP thinking that my 32mb ram will be sufficient
(since linux doc says 16mb will be min requirement) . now this argument
of 2X and X/2 (where X is the RAM) confuses me. can somebody enlighten me
what happens in mycase since I did not allocate any SWAP ? (because of my
S3 775(V2) card I could not run X properly, since i did not have the proper
server , but i am not sure whether SWAP has any role here. )

thanks in advance and I enjoy being member of the list( ofcourse after
receiving ~ hundreds of mails I switched over to digest from 'list' and
'install-list' , so i will be getting the replies in digests only.)
tnaks once again
