By "cheaper" I didn't mean "free". If my company begins to use
StarOffice, we will pay for it.

I believe that an OS should be free. But applications have not. Freeware
is fine, but if an application is worth its price, its editors and
developers should be paid for their work.

Anyway, StarOffice and ApplixWare are far cheaper than M$ products both
by their purchase price and maintenance fees...
