I don't know how many times I've said this. . .
I struggled with NT for months. Then, with almost no UNIX and very
superficial networking experience, I tried Linux and had a fully
functional ISP within a few weeks. I don't have any magical touch
(unless breaking stuff that nobody else seems to have trouble with
counts as magical), so if those online docs aren't at least adequate, I
must have absorbed all those skills from the carpet.
[note: ISP = many NIC's + many Modems + web + ftp + dns + mail +
security + pc-based routing + a nifty li'l workstation with office tools
and a very nice desktop to run it all from.]
