Greetings!
I'm having problems booting up my linuxbox. It goes thru the booting up
process fine until it reaches the end when the login prompt usually comes
up, but instead of that, I get the following messages:
ADD: shell proto=tcp, wait.max=0.40, user.group=root.(null) builtin=0
server=/usr/sbin/tcpd
ADD: login proto=tcp, wait.max=0.40, user.group=root.(null) builtin=0
server=/usr/sbin/tcpd
ADD: telnet proto=tcp, wait.max=1.40, user.group=root.(null)
builtin=0 server=/usr/sbin/tcpd
and some more lines about ftp and so on and I have this as the last line,
ADD: auth proto=tcp, wait.max=1.40, user.group=root.(null) builtin=0
server=/usr/sbin/in.identd
I've upgraded most of my rpm's that I got from my RH5.0 cd to the rpms
I downladed from the Manhattan ftp site and it's been working just fine
for quite sometime now, but then all of a sudden, I get this. Someone
suggested that my stdin / stdout has stuffed up and I should repartition-
does that mean I should like fdisk the HD and reinstall? I really, really
don't wanna do that.
I don't recall doing anything at all with any /etc/ config files or
changing anything else for that matter that may have caused this. Can
someone please help me out? I need the use of my linux back asap. Thank
you very much in advance!
With Best,
Steve
