Alright, I suspect that you haven't got the kernel source installed. The
error arises because you don't have a Makefile in the current directory. What
I'd recommend that you do is to download the complete kernel source (eg from
ftp.kernel.org) and recompile your kernel accordingly to the instructions
specified in the README file. In case you've actually installed the kernel
source, make sure that you're in /usr/src/linux before you attempt to run "make
config". Also make sure that you've got the updated g compiler installed
before you attempt to compile the kernel. Hope that helps.
