Ok, please tell me if you run the script that is in:
/etc/rc.d/init.d/autofs start
if you so, then run it with the parameter status, it has to say what are
the file system that could be mounted and what are mounted.
Also , you have to creat the base directories, all the ones you put in the
/etc/auto.master file.

Please let me know if this helped or if something is missing...
