I'm not sure I understand. You have a 2G disk, and that still isn't
enough?

Otherwise, just create a "/" and swap partitions, and don't worry about
splitting it up into multiple partitions, like /, /usr, etc.

Do you have a SCSI controller? This is not normal. Perhaps you have a
termination problem? Simply because Windows doesn't cause the problem,
doesn't mean there isn't a problem with termination. Likewise with IDE.
Are you sure master/slave is configured correctly?

Put a CDROM into the drive :) Ah, just joking. I'm not sure if RH mounts
your CDROM by default or not.

Assuming you have X running in one way or another, try the filesystem tool
called 'fstool'. This should enable you to easily mount your cdrom.

Otherwise, /etc/fstab should have a line like this:

/dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom iso9660 defaults,user,ro 0 0

Then running "mount /mnt/cdrom" will enable you to view its contents.

At various points in their history, both have been good at times, and bad
at times. It really depends on the video controller your using. If your
happy with one, stick with it until your comfortable enough to switch back
and forth. If your installing for the first time, perhaps choose MetroX,
which will likely be a bit easier to configure.
