Yes?
Red Hat 5.0 includes a (very old and buggy) copy of the BSD "lpd" line
printer daemon along with BSD-style line printer commands ('lpr', 'lprm',
'lpc', etc.). Red Hat needs to go fetch the latest source code to 'lpd'
off of www.openbsd.org, which has fixed all the security holes that are
still plaguing the current line printer daemon (one of which I carp about
all the time -- type "lpr -c /etc/printcap" and boom, the line printer
daemon is locked up solid as a rock, the problem is in the file
"printjob.c" and I posted a patch to "bugs" and to here close to six
months ago, but the current version *STILL* crashes when you do that).
If you are asking about a Sys V style "lp" command, sorry. Nobody has
ever bothered with one of those. Too clumsy (says I -- I still have to
struggle with the beast on our old SCO systems).
