You'll have to look at the reasons they think they want MS-Exchange.
One of the keys that management usually wants is the calendar sharing
features that enable automatic meeting planning. Another might be the
integrated Address book feature that, when kept up-to-date by HR,
shows all employees and their work locations. The big things are
probably:
* long list of integrated features
* one company (Microsoft) to buy from
* one company to get support from
* possibly cheaper than separate products with same features
