Your welcome... >From the readme's included with the files, it appears that the networkability has yet to be fully tested. It's there, but I haven't used it.. yet. I'd be interested to know if you have success with it.;0) Beth Gemeny Systems Administrator Health Hero Network, Inc. Hi again, and thanks for the exact pointer! Have you used this daemon in netmaster/netslave configuration? I have two Linux machines, only one of which has a direct smart cable connection to my SmartUPS 900. I'd love for that machine to be the netmaster and the other machine to be the netslave, so that both can safely shut down if the power goes out for long enough. However, if I set up the two apcupsd.conf files that way (See attachments), "powersc INIT" hangs on both machines :( Any help you can provide, including pointers to a mail list where this product is discussed, will be (further!) greatly appreciated! -Jay On Thu, 2 Apr 1998, Richard Kiss wrote: > Date: Thu, 2 Apr 1998 18:19:20 -0800 > From: Richard Kiss <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: 'Jay Vassos-Libove' <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Subject: RE: APC UPS software for Linux? > > Sure can, sorry I was wrong about where I thought it was.. woops! > > http://www.dyer.vanderbilt.edu/server/apcupsd/ > > Happy UPSing, > > Beth Gemeny > SysAdmin > hhn.com > > ---------- > From: Jay Vassos-Libove > Sent: Wednesday, April 01, 1998 9:49 PM > To: Beth Gemeny > Subject: APC UPS software for Linux? > > You indicated that you had found a good APC UPS software package for Linux > at the sunsite.unc.edu:/pub/Linux/ archive... could you please specify the > full path to the file? > > Thanks! > > Jay Vassos-Libove [EMAIL PROTECTED] > +1 404 876 8190 home +1 404 705 2867 work > Atlanta, GA 30308 U.S.A. > > > Jay Vassos-Libove [EMAIL PROTECTED] +1 404 876 8190 home +1 404 705 2867 work Atlanta, GA 30308 U.S.A.
