Quake2 is a newer version of quake w/ a new graphics engine. I have a
pentium pro, but no 3d card. If you don't have a 3d card, regular quake
looks better. If you have a fast machine (min 200mhz mmx I guess) and a 3d
card, quake2 might be fun.
Quake can play on the net by default, but for modem play can get "lag" at
times. Goto www.quakeworld.com to see info on that.
