(+)Is there some public exploit that lets a person get root on a linux box ? as
(+)i use my box as a firewall , and someone got root as a test of my system he
(+)told me it was a public exploit backdoor , ive ask a few people , no one
(+)will talk to me about this , im just curious as i dont need to find my box
(+)fdisked when i wake up ;)
Can't say for sure as I don't know, BUT if it's a firewall I would
definately remove, or comment out of inetd.conf, telnet, ftp, gopher - you
get the picture. Leave NO WAY to login except the keyboard and 1
console, TTY1. Am I paranoid? Maybe, but the box is safe.
