This happens when you compile your kernel cp it to
/boot/'whateveryourkernelwascalledbefore', do NOT run lilo again and
expect that since the name of the kernel didn't change lilo will find it.
If do did this it is the problem, if you didn't recompile the kernel I
guess lilo got a bit corrupted.
