Criminy. I hate it when I *don't* miss something like that, but somebody
quotes three hundred and seventy lines of it all back to the list, just to
add a two-line reply.
If the fact that it's bad manners isn't enough to remind you not to do that,
then please get an email program that warns you when your message consists
of mostly quoted material.
And when you quote, quote just what's necessary. You'll note here how I
don't quote your signature, or all the other unecessary crap. Just enough
to remind people what I'm referring to.
370 lines of quoted material for a 2-line reply; that's 99.54% quoted
material.
Many email programs will warn you if you pass 80%. In my opinion, 80% is
probably way excessive in the vast majority of cases. But 99.54%? That's
ridiculous 99.999999999999999999% of the time, and I can't conceive of what
form that other fraction of a percent would take.
