I installed Red Hat 5.0 from the 6 CD set quite happily last week.

But since Partition Magic won't move Linux partitions, I had to delete
them, create the new partition I wanted (for another OS), and then hoped
that another Red Hat install would recover me.

Alas, install won't work any more. After the welcome to Red Hat blue
screen there is a pause then "Install failed -- signal 7".

What does signal 7 mean? A grep of the whole first CD yields no
information on signal 7 or any list of signals. The only error list I
was able to find in RHMANUAL did not include 7.

Installing as rescue (hoping for 'info signals' to work - NOT) didn't
help, and installing as expert gives the same bad result.

Can somebody help or tell me where I should look? I am stopped (which is
a very poor reflection on the product).
