I'm having problems with ncpmount 2.0.11 from a stock RH5.0 install.

When I mount a server the permissions of the mount dir become d---------.
Similarly all permissions on files under this. (not helpful :-( )

When I try to ncpumount this I get.....
        /mnt/fred probably not ncp-filesystem
You are not allowed to umount /mnt/fred

When it is most definitely an ncp filesystem and as root I'm definitely
qualified to umount it.

Behaviour is the same with NetWare 3.12 and mars_nwe. It is the same with
IPX routes defined by mars_nwe or defined manually. Config is identical to
RH4.2 where it works. All other ncputils work as advertised.

ps. I tried recompiling the source provided with RH5.0 but got long trails
of warnings - I'm not very happy about using this.

Has anyone got any ideas?????????
