Hello all, I've got an interesting one here... I've got a couple of RH5 boxes here running GateD 3.5.7-2 and am trying to get OSPF working happily between them. I've managed to come up with a gated.conf that they seem satisfied with, but still no routes learned. When I sniff the link between them I can see that both are sourcing valid HELLO packets to the correct multicast address (224.0.0.5) but neither seems to be paying attention to the other's HELLO. You may ask why I want to run OSPF in this case anyway, and I'll tell you. I'm trying to test interoperability of GateD and the OSPF software we run on the routers my company makes. Anyway, another tidbit of info, if I do an ifconfig I can see that the interfaces that should be recieveing these HELLOs show no packets recieved. Am I missing something here? Do I need an explicit multicast route? Is full multicast support enabled in the kernel by default? Does anybody out there have OSPF running on RH5 with this version of GateD? Any version of GateD? Oh yeah, my Extreme (my company) box sees the GateD HELLOs but the Linux boxes don't see his either. thanks, any help with multicast and/or GateD is much appreciated... js * Jason Scherbarth * Extreme Networks * (408)863-2842 Gigabit Ethernet? check out http://www.extremenetworks.com -- PLEASE read the Red Hat FAQ, Tips, Errata and the MAILING LIST ARCHIVES! http://www.redhat.com/RedHat-FAQ /RedHat-Errata /RedHat-Tips /mailing-lists To unsubscribe: mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe" as the Subject.
