Okay, on this topic..
I've heard a number of people say that of course some fragmentation
occurs but not really enough to worry about. So.. I have a system with
100% uptime that was up for about 4 months before I moved. After moving
and starting back up, my /usr partition had 18% fragmentation (nope...
not a typo). At that point, Norton Utilities for MacOS (and I assume
NT, etc.) would say that it's definately time to defragment. Should I
worry about it under linux at 18%?
