In DOS I use small batch files to express my lazyness and type as few
commands as possible. Super practical. I want to do the same in Linux but
I'm making a thinking mistake somewhere...
Ex:
Say I use this DOS batch file: "dir /p %1" named 2.bat! Then in
DOS I just type "2 netscape" and get the netscape folder list page per
page.
I found out the equivalent of DOS' "%1" is "$1" in Linux, but "ls
$1" doesn't work...
To continue: What would be the right command for DOS' "copy %1 %2"?
Obviously "cp...but then what?
Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp...
Zoki.
