The tricky thing about sending pages from a computer to a pager is to get passed the voice prompts to enter this and that. At least one pager out there gets around that problem by giving you an email address to send your message to, and the message is the contents of the Subject: line. For many on the west coast, and recently east coast, the Seiko Message Watch has a nice capability. You can send email to your watch, which is also your pager. This is a partially alphanumeric pager with a 16 character display. I've programmed my Linux box to send various email messages to my watch depending on whats gone wrong or right. Works pretty cool. And since it uses FM radio waves, you dont have to worry about bad satelites ruining your pager reception. I dont work for Seiko, just a happy customer.
