Before you spend the best years of your life trying to figure out the
masquerading - I find the explenation very cryptic - this is what I put in
my sendmail.cf to get the proper domainname: That's anything right from
the "@". To get your ISP's login name to the right of the "@", you'll have
to enter that in your e-mail client.

In /etc/sendmail.cf look for:

DM              -> type like this: DMix.netcom.com
Dj$W            -> type like this: Djix.netcom.com
Ds (Smart Mail) -> type like this: Dsix.netcom.com

Enter your ISP login name in the right field in your e-mail client and,
ofcourse, use the ISP's login name as your useraccount.
