Howdy all.. I've got an old(ish) adaptec SCSI adapter (model escapes me). And when I issue a command like mt -f /dev/st0 rewind or tar -tf /dev/st0 it spends ages making a few clicking noises then drops back to the prompt with the following errors : st0: error with sense data: Current error st09:00: sense key hardware error Additional sense indicated Mechanical positioning error tar: Read error on /dev/st0: Input/Output error and a few more tar errors. The same thing happens with nst0 Any ideas? Thanks..
