I am using RH5.0 with sendmail for my mail relay. To test my mail relay
(ci2.afnet.net), I sent an email to my account with another ISP.
Therefore:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ---> ci2.afnet.net ---> ci1.africaonline.co.ci --->
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
[Sender] [my mail relay] [ISP mail
hub] [Recipient (me)]
Below is the header of the received email by lmais@africaonline. My
concern is about the second "Received:" line where is say "may be
forged".
Why is ci2.afnet.net claiming that the message is comming from
(root@[208.160.145.131]). I have not changed anything in the standard
sendmail.cf which comes with RH 5.0.
Please note that we are using similar hostnames as the ISP (ci1, ci2),
so do not get confused when reading this email.
