I really don't think you can install RH from a DOS partition, regardless of the
8.3 convention.  While the RPMs themselves don't rely on a specific filename
(they are read to find their name), the installation procedure does rely on
symblic links which cannot exist on a DOS filesystem.

Citrix hmm.. Not sure what you mean here :)  I understood Citrix to be a dial-in
solution for Netware, no?
