There isn't currently a DVD player for Linux. Creative are selling the
decoder card quite cheaply but only ship Windows drivers and software.
Nobody has ported this to Linux as far as I am aware (please correct me
if I am wrong).
Playing DVD through your computer is cheaper than buying a player
although we found that the picture was quite jerky after a while
(probably becuase it was running under Windows), and quickly gave up
after the audio started disappearing. I now have a DVD player instead
which is far more reliable than using your PC. I reckon that Linux would
be a stabler platform for the likes of DVD, we just need somebody to
come up with relevant drivers/software.
