On my Redhat 4.2 system I decided to switch to shadow passwords. So I typed pwconv5 Only thing is, I didn't switch to /etc first like the online 4.2 manual at RedHat's web site says to do. Everything seems all right, but have I unknowingly exposed my system to all kinds of crackers, or something? And what if I were to run pwconv5 twice?
