If I am not wrong, Compaq LAN cards are using TLAN chipset from Texas
Instrument. You can download a good working kernel 2.0.33 RPMs from VA
Research at ftp://ftp.varesearch.com/ which has a compiled module for TLAN
chip. The driver for TLAN chip was contributed by Caldera (if I am not wrong).

looking for some advice. My tech support folk [mostly NT] are pretty much
insisting on compaq systems, which should not be a problem other than I
have no experience with what they call "Compaq 10/100 TX PCI Intel WOL UTP
Controller". Anyone have experience with these things? The systems will
be dualbooting NT and RH Extreme Linux [5.0 based?]
