Guillermo (if i understand correctly) doesn't want the app to do
anything else but wait for the results, yet without wasting cpu
cycles. App.doevents will not lock out any other actions however, on
the contrary.
(And poll is included in app.doevents so you wouldn't have to write
both lines in a case where app.doevents would be the answer.)
