Hi Reed, Have you received any feedback yet? My only guess is that this was a false positive from some static analysis tools on the CRAN maintainer's side; https://cran.r-project.org/doc/manuals/r-devel/R-exts.html#Package-subdirectories says that:

That is, my guess is that the presence of these two files (https://github.com/reedacartwright/ironseed/tree/main/tools/config) is somehow causing the issue.
