I'm trying to install the packages JGR and iWidgets required by the
extracat package to make the interactive plots
in the package work. I've tried various things, but nothing seems to
work. Here is my most recent attempt,
followed by my sessionInfo().

Does anyone have any suggestions how to make this work?

iWidgets requires 'JGR' in order to run correctly.

You need some JGR.exe from that URL, the package alone does not help. Hence just do what the authors of that package wrote in their message:

to download it.
