Here is some more information on this problem. Running gmake -n front produces for f in ; do \ if test -f ./${f}; then \ /usr/local/bin/install -c -m 644 ./${f} \ ../../../library/methods; \ fi; \ done This seems to come from the following line in share/make/basepkg.mk @for f in $(FRONTFILES); do \ Grepping for FRONTFILES yields library/stats/Makefile.in:FRONTFILES = COPYRIGHTS.modreg SOURCES.ts library/stats/Makefile.win:FRONTFILES = COPYRIGHTS.modreg SOURCES.ts library/stats/Makefile:FRONTFILES = COPYRIGHTS.modreg SOURCES.ts Is something similar missing from the makefiles in src/library/methods?
