That's true, but because it takes up so much space, nobody would leave it like that for long. Clicking on the '-' next to "Subject" collapses headers to a single line and the rest of the message is scrollable. Even Outlook in HTML mode still doesn't hide the bottom, so I fail to see why it becomes invisible.
